Well everybody, we have be really lax in updating this site. That is honestly because I lost the password for about two months! What a SILLLY BOY YOU ARE! But all you true ZEBU! believers have been keeping up to date on ZEBU! news anyway, so I'm not too concerned about our fan base being disconnected!

SO BIG NEWS!~~~~~ ZEBU! is heading to Germany this summer for the La Pampa Festival! We will be touring around Berlin and the German lands for the first two weeks of July. So if you decided to love ZEBU and could possibly connect with us for a gig, show or house to crash in, that would be wonderful please let us know. We are hoping to be announcing some solid dates in and around the Berlin area in the coming weeks, so keep posted! We are also planning a North American tour for the middle of august! Teddy and I have been keeping busy working on new albums and playing shows! We are currently working on two different ZEBU! projects, entitled "Bag of Sand" and "Dinopocalypse"! I can only say that these two pieces represent a new direction for ZEBU! and we are very very fucking excited to get this stuff out to you, our listening audience. We will be keeping you all posted on the progression, but we are looking for a summer release date for "Bag of Sand" and a fall release date for "Dinopocalypse"

Ted and Steve went to Providence, RI recently and recorded some new tracks for the new album, "WOWZTOWL". Some of the tracks include "Girl and a Gun", "Mr. Murder Man", Steef Loois Sew-baroo"", among others. We are planning on realizing this album in a limited 50 cd release. In addition, we are planning on doing an awesome SPLIT CASSETTE with Cavebears entitled "Zebu! and the Glorious Nightmare." Keep an eye out for these new releases in the coming weeks!

If you look on the MYSPACE im sure you have noticed our newly completed Cavebears/ZEBU split Tape that we have made. You can get that at local music stores like Mystery Train Records as well! I would encourage all of you to stop there on your way through Amherst, MASS.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! Sorry we haven't updated the site recently, things have been very busy in the world of ZEBU! these days as Teddy is getting ready to give birth to an incredible amount of PAIN. But all those in the know will know that you can know ZEBU! personally these days, you can join us at our wonderful shows, some of which are coming in the near future. This past week we played a wonderful show at our home in Amherst featuring Justice Yeldham, Id M. Theftable, Cavebears, Bill Nace and Chris Cooper. Thanks so much to everyone who came and enjoyed the glass munching master! We have shows coming up in late March in Boston at Mass. Art. ZEBU!

Yes. It has arrived. The final, finished, polished (although you know what you can't polish) version of "CHAINSAWS AND CHEERLEADERS". And we are just elated!!!! Teddy has not stopped jumping on the bed. Its been two weeks now and the entire room is becoming a mess. Stegro woke up from his 23 hours of slumber, just to listen to the album. A Masterpiece!

We had wonderful little record release party at Mystery Train last night with Cavebears and Mr. Video himself, Zach Ianazzi. If you get the chance, make sure you go there and buy some vinyl for your friends and loved beasts. You can find the Zebu record in there as well, that glowing little eye staring at you from behind the plastic.

We are working on doing as many weekend shows in the next coming months as possible. We have some very very exciting gigs coming up, including a New Years Eve show with WE ARE THE SEAHORSES in Albany at an awesome roller derby. We also have shows coming with the Can Kickers, Justice Yeldham, Bill Nace, Cavebears, and others. If you feel like booking Zebu! we would be more than happy to play any wedding, bar mitzvah, or bris that you may be having during these seasonal changes. ZEBU!

Zebu will be hitting the road this coming June-July, spreading the gospel far and wide and playing with some great bands. It would be super for all of ya'll to come out and see us. You can check out show dates in the Upcoming shows section. We will be traveling in our new Zebu van, powered by vegetable oil, which will allow us to finally harness the power of fried food. There will be shows in Vermont, Amherst, Syracuse, Rochester, Nyc... and one and all are called upon your enthusiasm for a chop of the slice of cheese that is Zebu. In addition, We are excited to head to Providence in July to record the new Zebu album, "Chainsaws and Cheerleaders", finally capturing the ZEBU trio format. For all of those lucky enough to witness the onslaught that was Zebu with a three piece horn section, I commend your commitment to the cause! The Justice! The All Gracious Force that Can Bring Peace to the Lands of Freedom. For those who didn't, there will be an encore performance this Saturday, April 21st at the Hampshire College Library Lawn, a great chance to recline! Or to Dance! You can see more information on our Upcoming shows section.

We are planing a tour in mid June that will bring us back down to the Chesepeake Bay Area, Baltimore, Richmond, DC, Jersey, Mass, New York, spreading the gospel of Zebu far and wide. I hope that ya'll can come and check it out, we will be posting tour dates as soon as we can confirm them.

ZEBU!

Well Happy New Year everybody!

Im in Sydney Australia right now, and was able to see an amazing fireworks display at the base of the Harbor Bridge. I hope that all celebrations are rocking and filled with champagne and kisses.
2006 was a pretty amazing year for ZEBU! We shared the stage with some just brilliant musicians, met a bunch of new friends, and released a whole bunch of material. In chronological order, here are our shout outs:

1. April 2006- Shared the stage with the amazing Gary Wilson at the Flywheel, a historic concert that had a shitton of flour dumped on everyone attending. Gary hadn't played in the Northeast for a good couple of years, and it was an great experience.

2. 4/20/06- Opening for the Mammals at Hampshire College was unspeakably amazing. The Mammals are by far one of the best bands I have ever seen, and being able to play on a stage with them for all of our good friends was a dream come true. Lets hope for many more shows with them to come!

3. ZEBU! releases first mastered Album: "Hookers in Sweatpants", Teddy and I really cranked this one out, writing five new songs in a two day period (Charge Me!, Steve's Breakdown, Tip Toe, You Can't Polish Shit, Skellabaloo). This album represents a drastic shift in our musical appraoch and sound. It definitley got us more focused on song writing and really boiled down our musical intentions into a pretty well polished approach. Now we are almost done with the music videos for every song on the Album. We will be releasing that in the coming months, and you can check out a bunch of finished ones on youtube.com And people like it!, which is always nice. You can pick the album up here

4. 9/8/06- Opening for the Can Kickers at Hampshire, was just a great show, the Can Kickers have amazing energy, and there were about a hundred people just rocking out.

5. Malboro College- A great Two man Zebu concert (sans Stegro) with Pariah Beat, Portriat, Lima, We Are Seahorses, and the Real Life Time Machines in an academic building on campus. One of the best two man Zebu shows we've ever played.

6. Guiding Star Grange, a big old hall with the Can Kickers and Real Life Time Machines, Michele with one L and Pariah Beat. Was a great privelage to play on this stage. Small crowd on a big dance floor= fun fun!!

This is only a small list, as you cannot summarize the awesomeness of a years worth of musical experience. Thank you to everyone that has supported us during this time and will continue to in the new year, ZEBU! will not let you down.

Theres a five day tour coming up in February with our friends the Real Life Time Machines, you can check out the dates in the Upcoming shows section. We are planning to hit Baltimore, Philadephia, NYC, Boston and possibly upstate New York. Come represent, and you'll get a free lap dance from the whole ZEBU! team, and our inner sanctum of friends! There are always, of course, the sporadic shows in Western Mass, so keep an eye out for those as well.
We now have enough material for a new album, so keep an eye out for a Vinyl LP in the coming months as well. Teddy's new show is going to start soon on Valley Free Radio (103.3), and I would advise everyone to tune in, who knows what you might hear?
